A CASED 80-BORE TRANTER THIRD MODEL DOUBLE TRIGGER PERCUSSION REVOLVER, CIRCA 1860, serial no. 21375T,
with 4in. octagonal barrel, dovetailed blade front-sight, the muzzle with engraved decoration, five shot Birmingham proofed cylinder with engraved rope band decoration to front edge, foliate engraved frame marked 'No 21,375T', the left side with Tranters patent permanently attached rammer, one piece chequered walnut grips with stepped and engraved oval butt-cap, in its correct green baize lined and partitioned oak case, the lid with inset brass escutcheon with a knurled raised edge, accessories include a double cavity mould stamped 'TRANTER'S PATENT', copper bodied flask, nipple key and turn-screw, (modern replacement), traces of original blue finish, good case with solid partitions and clean lining.

Other Notes: The third model was Tranters first revolver to feature their patent permanently attached rammer
