made between 1862-81, octagonal to sixteen-sided to round 32 1/4in. barrel with moulded girdle at the intersection, bead fore-sight at muzzle, the top-flat signed 'H. DICKINSON, 2 UNION ROW, MINORIES, LONDON' (rubbed), border and scroll engraved top-tang, flat border and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'H. DICKINSON' forwards of the engraved hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist and fore-end, iron furniture including flat-fronted trigger guard bow and replacement ramrod (external iron surfaces worn, upper edge of fore-end on right side lacking)
