A 12-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED FISHER, LONDON, no visible serial number,
circa 1800 with later conversion to percussion from flintlock, probably by the maker, octagonal to sixteen-sided to round 32 1/2in. barrel with moulded girdle at the intersection and signed in gilt on the top-flat 'FISHER * LONDON', applied small boat-shaped fore-sight bead in white metal, twin gold lines at breech, moulded nipple-boss shaped and engraved to follow the line of the removed pan and with platinum vent, top-tang engraved with foliage, flat bevel-edged lock with stepped and engraved tail and signed 'FISHER' forwards of the engraved hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist and with white metal rectangular escutcheon behind top-tang, raised cheek-piece, engraved iron furniture (traces of finish), scrolled lower tang, flat-fronted trigger guard bow and original ramrod
