AN INTERESTING AND RARE .44 COMBINATION FLINTLOCK AND PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL BY MABSON, LABRON & MABSON, CIRCA 1830, no visible serial number,
2in. turn-off Birmingham proofed barrel, boxlock action, the right side engraved with a trophy of arms and on the left the with the makers name 'MABSON, LABRON & MABSON', can be fired by either flintlock or percussion means of ignition, the lower jaw of the flint cock is adapted to function as a percussion hammer to strike a nipple located just in front of the touch-hole, the action with a bar safety that locks the cock, one piece slab sided grips
