A RARE SWORD-BAYONET FOR THE JACOB DOUBLE RIFLE,
circa 1860, with a double-edged 29 1/2in. steel blade with narrow central double-fullers on each side terminating some 11in. from the point, steel hilt and pierced guard with double muzzle-ring, pressed black leather riveted grips, steel spring, together with its black leather scabbard with steel fittings, blade pitted both sides for the lower 9in., some surface rust patches to the hilt, scabbard solid, leather with creases and grazes to the raised seam, some staining and smoothed pitting to the fittings, 35 1/4in. overall
