Product Details

A SCARCE .177 PHOENIX PRE-CHARGED PNEUMATIC AIR-RIFLE SIGNED PAX GUNS, serial no. PH062,
circa 2014, with 23in. blued barrel including sound moderator, matt black receiver embossed with the image of a phoenix above 'PHOENIX', also signed 'PAX GUNS. LONDON' and 'MK2' together with the calibre and serial number, chequered walnut butt-stock, detachable heel-plate accessing air reservoir, lever action cocking and chequered walnut schnabel fore-end, appearing little used and fitted with a Viper X Series 3-12x40 compact telescopic sight and mounts, all contained within a foam lined cordura case together with three magazines

Provenance: The Phoenix air rifle was designed by Graham Bluck and originally produced by the firm of Parker Hale in Birmingham, England. When that firm closed its doors in around 2012, the design was acquired by Pax Guns of London. The original produced by Parker Hale had numerous flaws and did not lend itself to volume production. Pax Guns sought the services of Graham Bluck once more and he completely redesigned the workings of the Phoenix, designating the new rifle the MK2. Sadly, production costs were still high, and the rifle struggled against the many cheaper PCPs that were available on the market at the same time. It is in theory still available from the manufacturers, although a further development, the Phoenix Fast-Fire 10 take-down rifle seems to have taken precedence now
