for 1949, 28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the rib engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE, SOUTH AUDLEY STREET LONDON ENGLAND', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplever gold-inlaid '1', removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, 14 5/8in. stock (chequering refreshed or possible replacement) including 7/8in. ebonite extension, weight 6lb. 5oz., in its leather motor case
