circa 1890, 30in. nitro barrels (No.1 reproved, No.2 replacements in 1975), No.1 rib inlaid in gothic script 'Trulock Bros. 13. Parliament Street Dublin.' and gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end (loose on action), No.2 with 'Trulock Bros. 13. Parliment Street, Dublin', (sic) and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, No.1 left wall thickness at 17, treble-grip actions with ornate standing breeches, slender toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the lockplates with game scenes of hound and fowl, each triggerguard with a dogs head, one looking right, the other left, retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening, 14 3/8in. well-figured semi-pistolgrip stocks including 1in. rubber recoil pads, weight 7lb. (No.1) and 6lb. 14oz. (No.2), in a brass-cornered leather case
