A SCARCE .455 SIX-SHOT SERVICE-REVOLVER, MODEL 'W.S. ARMY', serial no. 125030,
for September 1909 but in target style, with refinished 7 1/2in. barrel (good bore) signed on the top 'P. WEBLEY & SON, LONDON & BIRMINGHAM', brushed bright stirrup latch with drift adjustable blade, break-open refinished frame with quick-release fluted auto-ejecting cylinder, chequered hard rubber grips (some restoration to lower edges) and lanyard ring at heel

Provenance: When released the W.S. revolver was designated an 'army' regardless of barrel length or sight configuration. In late 1909 or 1910, the designation for the adjustable sight model was changed to 'target', with 'army' being kept solely for the fixed sight variant. Both were available in both barrel lengths
