A 7.63mm (MAUSER) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, MODEL 'CONE-HAMMER C96 BROOMHANDLE', serial no. 1875, WITH HOLSTER-STOCK,
manufactured 1897, with blued 5 1/2in. tapering barrel (bore worn), blued receiver, brushed bright bolt with long extractor, elevating rear-sight marked '1' to '10', cone hammer and old style safe, blued firing pin retainer, blued frame with integral 10-shot magazine. 22 groove bag-shaped walnut grips (lanyard ring at heel replaced), retaining much original external finish and complete with its walnut holster stock with matching number stamped on the hinge, repaired crack to hinge side of body and short hairline crack forming forwards of grip aperture
