for circa 1867, with silver plated break-open 3 3/8in. barrel cluster arranged in a squared format, American scroll engraving to the top of the two top barrel muzzles repeated at breech, small crescent fore-sight, the left hand centre-rib signed 'MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y.', the right hand rib marked 'ELLIOT'S PATENT MAY 29 1860 OCT 1 1861', blued sliding barrel lock below the barrels, engraved silver plated open frame with blued ring-trigger and pins, moulded smooth gutta-percha grips, the whole remaining in fine condition and appearing little used
