circa 1890, with octagonal blind fluted 33 1/2in. barrel, shallow ramp with dove-tailed wide fore-sight, moulded rail near breech mounted with a tangent rear-sight and signed in an oval 'G. MAYOR, LAUSANNE', plain slab-sided receiver, the right hand side signed as the barrel (traces of colour, some abrasive cleaning), highly figured walnut butt-stock with raised carved cheek-piece, iron Swiss-style heel-plate, complex under-lever forming the trigger-guard, double set triggers and smooth walnut fore-end with moulded schnabel tip, fitted with a later leather sling
