A GOOD .577 (SNIDER) COMMERCIAL MILITARY RIFLE, MODEL 'L.A.C. CO. SNIDER THREE-BAND', no visible serial number,
dated for 1873, with 36 1/2in. blued barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, commercial London proofs, colour hardened flip open breech-block marked 'L.A.C.' and signed 'JAS. KERR, 54 KING WILLIAM ST. E.C'? (last two characters indistinct), the block also engraved with a number '3', colour hardened dated lock also signed 'TOWER', and with crown stamp to tail, walnut full-stock with brass furniture, chained firing pin protector and three iron barrel-bands, equipped with a jag-ended clearing rod
