ADAMS FOR DICKSON & SON, EDINBURGH
A GOOD CASED 38-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'BEAUMONT-ADAMS', serial no. 30396R,
circa 1854, with octagonal blued 6 3/4in. barrel engraved with scrolls at muzzle and throat, dove-tailed fore-sight, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame signed on the top-strap 'DICKSON & SON 63 PRINCES ST'T EDINBURGH', standing notch rear-sight, plain blued cylinder with matching number, chequered walnut one-piece grip with iron cap and articulated rammer mounted to left hand side of barrel, the whole retaining much of its original blued finish where appropriate and together with its oak storage case, compartmented and relined in green baize and containing a mould, turn-screw, powder-flask, oil-bottle, bone nipple-pot, cap-tin and cleaning rod (lock missing)
