BRAZIER, WOLVERHAMPTON
A CASED 120-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S PATENT TYPE', no visible serial number,
circa 1855, with octagonal 4 3/8in. barrel, beaded blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap with border engraving and signed 'JOSEPH BRAZIER & SON, WOLVERHAMPTON', border engraved plain five-shot cylinder, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame with 'L' shaped spring safe to left side, self-cocking mechanism, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip flaring at the base and fitted with domed horn cap, guarded trigger and fitted with a patent rammer of Brazier's own design marked 'JOSEPH BRAZIER'S PATENT No. 741', traces of finish and complete with its probable original English oak case relined in green baize and complete with a period flask, mould, turn-screw, loading-rod and cap-tin
