A SCARCE .650 PERCUSSION OFFICER'S PISTOL, serial no. 3291,
originally one of a pair and manufactured in 1860, with browned damascus octagonal to round 9in. barrel, the flat sighting plane signed 'CHARLES LANCASTER 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON', engraved squared patent breech, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar action lock signed 'C. LANCASTER', scroll engraved dolphin headed hammer, walnut full-stock with swept chequered grip flaring at the pommel and capped with and engraved iron butt-cap, guarded trigger with engraved bow and finial and captive iron ramrod
