circa 1845, with tapering iron turn-off 28in. barrel, bead fore-sight, tubular receiver marked 'DAY'S PATENT' over 'J.R.', pan-headed under-hammer with exposed trigger (currently not holding at cock), angled walnut grip with a threaded aperture at the rear for a detachable butt-stock (included), minimal traces of finish with a later lacquer coating, 46 1/2in. overall with butt-stock attached
