A 22-BORE PILL-LOCK DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1790 with later conversion, with 31in. twist barrels, narrow top-rib, the breech-blocks each with a rectangular gilded stamp 'STORMER, HERZBERG', twin gold bands, faceted drums now fitted with conventional nipples, chisel engraved top-tang with central sighting groove, chisel engraved flat, slightly curved bevel-edged locks with stepped tails and moulded poincons signed 'STORMER, HERZBERG', slab-sided engraved hammers with drum bases and pill noses, walnut half-stock with chequered wrist, raised cheek-piece, engraved iron heel-plate and trigger guard bow, oval white metal escutcheon engraved with a 'W' below a crown, sling swivels, set trigger for right barrel and ebony ramrod
