circa 1800, with substantial round heavy iron 33in. octagonal to round barrel, strongly flared muzzle, solid top-tang, over-sized flat bevel-edged borderline engraved lock of military form, slab-sided ring-necked cock, expertly restocked with an oversize walnut full-stock, brass furniture including heel-plate and trigger-guard, single trumpet-mouthed ramrod pipe (ramrod absent), the underside of fore-end fitted with a cast iron swivel mount, weight over 34lbs.
