probably English circa 1800, with iron 29 1/2in. barrels fitted with a top-rib only, gold line at breech and platinum lined touch-holes, engraved top-tang with sighting groove, flat locks with engraved stepped and pointed tails, the left lock only signed 'CROMAR', semi rain-proof pans, roller springs, swan-necked cocks, walnut half-stock with chequered wrist (worn smooth), iron furniture and brass tipped under-barrel ramrod, the whole worn with loss to detail, small inlet repair forwards of right lock
