PERTH.' and gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, Iberian Holland & Holland style self-opening action, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, articulated front trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, the tang gold-inlaid with the serial number, beaded border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding a centrally carved motif of a Scottish thistle, the fences carved in relief with thistles set against a matt background, the underside of the action with the makers logo within a roundel, the triggerplate initialled 'D.S.', brushed finish, 14 3/4in. figured stock, weight 7lb. 3oz., in its makers tan leather guncase
