Krupp-steel nitro barrels (Birmingham proofed CORDITE 55 - 400MAX) with file cut rib, open sights and four folding leaf sights, marked for 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight (possible replacement or re-fitted), the tubes engraved 'W. J. JEFFERY & CO. LTD. 13 KING STREET. ST. JAMES'S ST. LONDON.', light pitting to throat of chambers, treble-grip action with removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, the fences with stippled finish, bold acanthus scroll engraving surrounding game scenes of buffalo (later or possibly refreshed), brushed bright and reblued finish overall, replacement triggerguard, 15in. native replacement pistolgrip stock (crack at head) with pistolgrip-cap and including 1in. ventilated rubber recoil pad, fore-end wood (possible replacement) with likely replacement finial and crack to wood, weight 10lb. 11oz.
