circa 1868, with blued 36in. barrel marked near breech 'VAUD 388', block and blade fore-sight, elevating tangent rear-sight, flip-up breech with off-set firing pin, the top signed 'NEUHAUSEN', Swiss proofs, blued hump-back lock signed ''V.ERLACH U CIE THUN', plain hammer, walnut full-stock with iron furniture including spurred trigger-guard, two barrel bands and nose-cap, drum-headed under-barrel clearing rod and complete with a period socket bayonet with scabbard (slight shrinkage).
