circa 1885, with blued octagonal 26 3/4in. barrel, the top-flat dove-tailed for an adjustable position rear-sight (present), dove-tailed ramp fore-sight blade with side-protectors, octagonal form borderline and scroll engraved receiver with short straight bolt handle, no provision for safe, border and scroll engraved top-tang mounted with a pan-headed aperture sight, walnut Tyrolean semi swan-neck half-stock with chequered wrist and Swiss heel-plate, engraved complex trigger-guard with integral finger-spurs, double-set triggers, plain fore-end, refinished with some shallow pitting below finish
