A GOOD .550 PERCUSSION CONSTABULARY or COASTGUARD BELT-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
dated for 1855, with round slightly tapering blued iron barrel, small applied fore-sight, broad standing notch rear-sight to breech, numerous ordnance and military proof marks, solid top-tang, flat borderline engraved lock (traces of colour) with signature, date and 'VR' below crown device, walnut full-stock with brass furniture (wood also with numerous ordnance marks), long iron belt hook to left hand side and captive iron ramrod
