circa 1840, with 2 5/8in. six-shot barrel group (some nipples chipped and crushed), carved side ribs, borderline and scroll engraved rounded action signed on the left hand side 'J.R. COOPER, PATENTEE', full-length sliding safe to the top of action, smooth bag-shaped walnut grips and ring-trigger with under-hammer, some mild pitting
