A RARE .44 PERCUSSION SIX-SHOT REVOLVER, MODEL 'CENTRE-HAMMER ARMY', serial no. 170,
for 1861-62, with 7 1/2in. two-stage barrel (markings almost entirely erased), plain cylinder (external shallow pitting) with tapered and stepped nipple-wells, plain solid frame with frontal cylinder release and central hammer (top-strap repaired), smooth walnut grips, hinged ejection lever forming the trigger-guard, almost completely stripped of finish with some shallow pitting
