circa 1859, with octagonal 4in. barrel signed on the left hand side-flat 'ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCESTER MASS U.S' over patent dates, nickel fore-sight, sighting groove to the solid top-strap, hinged rammer forming the trigger guard, roll engraved five-shot cylinder, moulded iron frame with side-plate and smooth flared walnut grips
