A .36 PERCUSSION SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL '1851 NAVY BRITISH ISSUE', serial no. 17386,
for 1855, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed on the top 'ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON', the left hand side of barrel-mount with London proofs (rubbed) and a 'W.D' broad arrow device (possibly added later), six-shot cylinder scrubbed of scene, open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', iron grip-straps, smooth walnut grip, lanyard ring at heel, all matching numbers including wedge, re-finished in antiquity
