circa 1840, with octagonal twist iron 30in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, twin white metal bands at breech, borderline and foliate engraved long top-tang, border and acanthus scroll engraved back-action lock signed 'B. WOODWARD', iron furniture including pistol grip spurred lower tang and replacement iron ramrod, together with a period oak storage case, relined and recompartmented in green baize, reproduction trade label and load label inside lid and including a reproduction flask and later cleaning accessories
