30in. black powder only bold damascus barrels, rib engraved 'BOSS & CO. 73 ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, internally pitted and left wall at 18+, action incorporating John Thomas patent 3091 of 15th November 1871, carved percussion fences, offset toplever, rebounding sidelocks with dolphin hammers, signed Boss & Co., fine acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish overall, 15in. highly-figured stock including 7/8in. leather covered recoil pad, fore-end with E. Hollis patent release lever, patent no. 953 of 1873, weight 7lb. 2oz.
