28 1/8in. black powder only damascus barrel (some pits) with elevated file-cut sighting flat, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 1/2 choke, carved percussion fence, rebounding back-action sidelock, border and partial acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 3/8in. stock (small loss beneath lockplate) with steel buttplate, Deeley & Edge patent fore-end with horn finial, weight 4lb. 5oz.
