A 28-BORE BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR, serial no. 114771,
circa 1938, 28in. nitro barrels, rib engraved 'SMALLWOOD - SHREWSBURY', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl and 3/4 choke, (right bore dimension marginal, some pitting), automatic safety, unsigned action border engraved with central acanthus detailing, retaining traces of colour-hardening and finish, 15in. stock (repair at toe) including 3/4in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 5lb. 6oz.
