recent manufacture, with heavy 33 3/4in. octagonal matt-finished barrel, tunnel fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, the top-flat marked 'SHILOH SHARPS MOD 1874' and 'CALIBRE .45 3 1/4', Hartford collar to breech-end, colour-hardened falling block action signed on the left hand side 'SHILOH SHARPS RIFLE MFG CO, BIG TIMBER, MONTANA', long-range flip-up vernier peep sight to wrist, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock with raised cheek-piece, chequered plastic heel-plate, chequered lower tang, colour-hardened under-lever forming the trigger-guard, double set triggers and smooth walnut splinter fore-end with complex inlet rounded pewter tip, the whole appearing little used
