circa 1936, with blued octagonal 24in. barrel signed 'MARLIN FIREARMS CO' together with the address and patent dates to 'March 1 1892', colour-hardened receiver with take-down facility, walnut butt-stock with 'Marlin' hard-rubber heel-plate, colour-hardened finger-lever, walnut fore-end and blued full-length magazine tube, the whole appearing little used, complete with proof certificate
