AN EXTREMELY RARE 'PARKER-HISCOCK' PATENT MAGAZINE FOR A .22 LONG RIFLE LEE-ENFIELD No.1 TRAINING RIFLE, serial no. G9013,
circa 1917 and in the form of the standard ten-round Enfield box-magazine, the interior replaced with a complex machined bullet feed with spring-loaded rammer, the top marked 'HISCOCK PARKER PAT 189/12' and '25533/13', the left hand side with loaded viewing aperture, the right side with lever to allow single loading of alternate ammunition, much original finish.
Other Notes: The patent for the Hiscock-Parker Magazine was granted on November the 7th., 1913. Approvals for military service were issued on December 1917 as the "Magazine, .22" Rifle, Mk.I This example is maked to rifle serial No G9013 and has a well defined Enfield inspectors mark.
