unsigned, circa 1800, with slightly tapering leather covered body (some corrosion below the leather), brass end-caps engraved with tramlines, the base with circular screw-off lid to the flint compartment, the top with swing cover to the ball compartment and plain nozzle with exposed replacement mainspring
