A .41 (RIMFIRE) SIX-SHOT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'SINGLE ACTION ARMY', serial no. 176884,
for 1898 and converted from .41 Colt, with 4 5/8in. barrel signed on two lines (traces only remaining) and with later stamping '41 COLT' to left side of barrel, under-barrel ejector rod with shaped thumb-piece, sold frame with two lines of patents, fluted cylinder, re-modelled hammer-nose, iron grip-straps and trigger-guard, replacement chequered black plastic grips embossed with the Colt trade-mark, the whole in heavily cleaned condition with loss to both detail and sharp edges
