circa 1872, with blued 33 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, broad elevating ladder rear-sight with windage adjustment and auxilliary folding battle-sight, octagonal breech-section signed 'AMSBERG', octagonal receiver marked 'J.G. M71', straight handled bolt (numbered 58844) with chequered flag safe to rear, walnut full-stock with Imperial inspectors stamps to side and underside of butt, iron furniture, the face of the heel-plate stamped 'B.L.R.5 56', brass trigger-guard with iron trigger=plate, two barrel bands and nose-cap, jag-ended iron clearing-rod
