A .577-450 (M/H) SINGLE-SHOT CARBINE, MODEL 'MARTINI-HENRY CAVALRY CARBINE', serial no. KT2374,
dated for 1879, with 21 1/2in. barrel, blade fore-sight with moulded side protectors, elevating ladder rear-sight, the top of breech marked with the number (possibly regimental), blued slab-sided receiver (some pitting to right hand side), walnut butt-stock with various maker and issue stamps together with later civilian markings, iron furniture including under-lever and moulded nose cap, walnut full-length fore-end and under-barrel clearing rod.
