circa 1862, with octagonal 8in. re-blued barrel, the top-flat signed 'PATENTED SEPT. 14 1858, REMINGTON & SONS ILION, NEWYORK U.S. NEW MODEL', pinched blade fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, solid iron frame, plain six-shot cylinder, single action mechanism with spurred hammer, smooth flared walnut grips and hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole refinished with areas of bruising around the cylinder pin.
