A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL 'KERR'S PATENT', serial no. 10508,
circa 1855, with blued octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, the left hand top-flat with London proofs and marked 'L.A.C.', conical pillar fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, plain five-shot cylinder, (matching number), two-piece frame marked on the right 'KERR'S PATENT' along with the serial number, the left side stamped 'LONDON ARMOURY', single action mechanism, borderline engraved back-action lock signed 'LONDON ARMOURY' mounted into the chequered walnut grip, iron butt-cap with central lanyard ring and under-barrel rammer, retaining strong traces of original finish together with its original oak storage case compartmented and lined in green baize, London Armoury Company trade label inside the lid and containing a L.A.C. marked brass mould, a James Dixon powder flask (mainspring at fault), a cleaning rod, oil bottle and nipple-key, all probably original to the pistol.
