A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER, MODEL 'BAKER'S PATENT REVOLVING LEVER COCK PISTOL', serial no. 41,
circa 1845, with octagonal 5in. London proved barrel, plain six-shot cylinder, rounded boxlock border and scroll engraved action signed 'T.K. BAKER LONDON' within a border on the right hand side, sliding safe on the left, central bar hammer signed 'BAKER'S PATENT' with long cocking spur, finely chequered walnut grips and guarded single action trigger, the whole almost completely stripped of finish, complete in its makers oak storage case with instructional trade label inside lid (losses to edges of label), the case compartmented and lined in green baize and complete with an iron ball-mould loading lever combined, a cap tin and a powder flask, (case lock escutcheon absent).
