circa 1845, with fully fluted iron six-shot Birmingham proved barrel-group, scroll engraved rounded white-metal boxlock action signed in script 'MANTON PATENT LONDON' on the left hand side, moulded integral nipple-guard, engraved iron central bar-hammer, scroll engraved white-metal grips, engraved flat white-metal pommel and iron guarded trigger (action at fault)
