circa 1855, with twist iron re-browned 30in. barrels, the top-rib signed 'HEWSON, LONDON', border and scroll engraved re-coloured breech-block, scroll engraved re-coloured top-tang with later gold wire decoration, en-suite bar-action locks and hammers, the locks signed 'HEWSON' on the bar, refinished and re-chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture including blacked heel-plate, the blued trigger-guard with later gold wire decoration repeated on the re-coloured ramrod throat, plain ramrod thimbles and brass-tipped mahogany ramrod
