possibly for the Reading Town Guard or a transport company, with round iron 9in. brushed bright barrel, Tower proofs, moulded band at breech, borderline engraved lock with a crown over 'GR' device forwards of hammer and 'TOWER' to the tail, walnut full-stock with brass furniture, the serpentine sideplate engraved 'RT' over '36', iron captive ramrod, some light staining and mild pitting
