circa 1775, with triple staged 12 1/4in. cannon barrel with moulded bands at the muzzle and all intersections, the top at breech signed 'HEYLIN CORNHILL, LONDON', private and London proofs at breech, solid iron top-tang with sighting groove, borderline engraved radiused unsigned lock with floral engraving at tail, engraved hammer-neck, bridled frizzen, walnut handrail three-quarter stock, carved apron around the top-tang, brass oval vacant escutcheon with north and south embellishment, brass furniture including broad heel-plate with engraved spur, border engraved serpentine sideplate and trigger-guard bow, replacement brass tipped ramrod (woodwork cleaned, small repairs to fore-end)
