TWO VICTORIAN BRASS-HILTED SIDEARMS, THE FIRST SIGNED WILKINSON,
being an 1856 Pattern Pioneer's saw-back sword serial no. 804, of usual form, with spear-point 22 1/2in. saw-backed blade false edged for the last 6 3/4in., solid brass ribbed hilt with turned down quillion and 'P' shaped knuckle-bow, complete with its brass mounted black leather scabbard, the throat marked '5. 1896' and 'V.4.DM.8.', the second a Prussian falchion sidearm with 18 1/2in. swelling hatchet-point blade (discoloured), maker's stamp of 'PDL' in a cartouche at the forte, solid brass ribbed hilt with straight cross-guard marked '12.A.F. 2.3.' and doveshead pommel, also complete with its brass mounted leather scabbard with matching stamp to locket
