A GERMAN WORLD WAR TWO DOUBLE DECAL STEEL HELMET TO THE LUFTWAFFE, MODEL 'M40',
circa 1941, of classic shape with rolled edge, pressed air vents, the left hand side with Luftwaffe eagle decal, the right hand side with period overpainted national emblem, the ear-brim on left stamped inside 'ET64' (for Eisenhutten Werke, Thale), the inside of neck-guard stamped '1172', fitted with the correct leather liner (half of the chinstrap replaced) and finished in a dark blue-grey, complete with certificate of authenticity
