A SCARCE PRESENTATION CASED LIMITED EDITION BOWIE KNIFE, MODEL 'TEXAS RANGER 150TH ANNIVERSARY', serial no. 236, of 500 believed produced in 1973, with polished 7 1/2in. bowie-style blade etched on the right hand side with portraits of 'Captain John R. Hughes' and 'Bigfoot Wallace' together with depictions of the Walker Colt revolver, further un-named Texas Rangers, the Texas Ranger's badge and the date '1823' in a banner, the reverse with 'TEXAS RANGERS' etched in a banner surrounded by Texas Rangers fighting scenes of outlaws and native American Indians, serial numbered straight moulded brass cross-guard, smooth walnut grip and moulded brass pommel, appearing unused in its makers hardwood case lined in red flock, the lid bearing a brass plaque inscribed 'TO COMMEMORATE 150 YEARS OF THE TEXAS RANGERS, 1823-1973'.
